The Chinese Congregation at St Martin-in-the-Fields Church are organising two parties to welcome students of the Timothy Overseas Student Fellowship and you are invited:

PostHeaderIcon 250,000 attend New Year Celebrations

An estimated 250,000 people attended  London's Chinese New Year celebrations, which took place on Sunday 21 February.

Crowds watched international Chinese artists perform at Trafalgar Square and saw lions in Chinatown. There were also local Chinese performances at a stage in Shaftesbury Avenue, which became Hong Kong in London Chinatown. A colourful fireworks display closed the festivities in Leicester Square.

Leslie Ng, President of the London Chinatown Chinese Association, which organises the annual celebrations, said: "It was wonderful that people from all communities came out to enjoy London's Chinese New Year celebrations. We have seen in the Year of the Tiger in spectacular style. Kung Hey Fat Choi!"

Moon Goddess celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with a feast of authentic east asian cuisine and a spectaculor Lion Dance in London Chinatown.

Chinatown celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival on Sunday 11th October during one of the biggest culinary events of the year. The Chinese Moon Goddess made her first appearance in Chinatown to mark the launch of the first London Restaurant Festival.

The colourful event was organised by the London Chinatown Chinese Association (LCCA) as an inaugural patron of the London Restaurant Festival.
